Do something!

I find so many moms that can't think of anything fun to do with their kids. They either think they need special art skills or expensive supplies. It can be super easy and super fun. Kids grow greatly through these experiences! My advice to you: Just go for it! Below are the appropriate skills, processes and objectives we want preschoolers to gain in the experience!

Encouragement

Encourage to create using different materials.

Talk about color at home or outside in nature.

Talk about patterns, notice patterns in clothes, fabric, nature, etc.

Encourage kids to find objects to add to artwork.

Talk about texture of objects.

Talk about illustrations in books and other media.
